MSAP 2026

Nature Drawing & Painting

Students will join local artist Brooke Rowen in exploring the principles of value, texture, color, and composition to learn how to depict vibrant scenes in nature, from vast landscape paintings to up-close drawings of the flora and fauna that make up the ecosystem around them. Utilizing a variety of mediums such as watercolor, pencils, ink, paint markers, and collage, students will focus on how different aspects of nature may be depicted depending on choices made throughout the creative problem solving process.
