Moscow Contemporary is looking for volunteers to join our board of directors!
About Moscow Contemporary
MosCo’s mission is to connect, support, and create community through art and arts education.
We facilitate the vision of current, emerging, and future artists by:
Nourishing a broader understanding of our civilization by providing a space that encourages free artistic expression and the open exchange of ideas.
Using outreach to forge new connections that supplement and impact education on local, regional, and international levels.
Inspiring lifelong learning through contemporary arts by delivering original educational content to a diverse audience of all ages and experiences.
As we expand our board, we’re looking for people who:
Share a passion for our mission.
Have the time and energy to actively collaborate with staff and fellow board members in advancing our vission.
Are committed to equity and inclusion.
Have an appreciation of and connection to arts and cultural services.
Backgrounds that are especially valuable (but by no means required) include:
Nonprofit leadership
Fundraising
Governance
Banking/Finance
Career in the Arts
Experieince in contemporary art and prior board service are not required!
Who we are looking for
Serve a three year term.
Attend at least 75% of all monthly board meetings.
Serve on at least one committee.
Attend at least six events annually.
Make a meaningful annual contribution.
Help fundraise on behalf of the organization.
Act as an advocate for the organization.
board members commit to:
Make a real difference for our artists, students, and audience.
Access leadership development opportunities in nonprofit procedures, exhibitions, fundraising, community organizing, event planning, and more.
Deepen your knowledge of contemporary arts, gallery programming, and the local arts community.
Build relationships with a broad spectrum of individuals connected to Moscow Contemporary.
