MSAP 2026

Animal Dances in the WILD

Join us for a week of moving, making and exploring in Moscow’s adventure-playland. Strengthen your body and your senses and learn amazing ways animals use theirs: what if you could taste with your feet like a butterfly? What if you could see like a deer?

We’ll play rhythm games with sound-makers we construct, build a den together, create animal based costume pieces (like paws with retractable claws), and map our independent “territories.” We’ll learn wild and beautiful dances from hawks, coyotes, dragonflies and other native animals – and invent dances of our own! We’re learning about animal and human alignment, bio-mechanics and behavior. We engage with bones, skins, hands-on models and wearable objects.

You’ll be guided by Corrie Befort, internationally performing dancer/choreographer, inclusivity-focused teacher, intermedia artist, wilderness backpacker and local mom.
