MSAP 2024

Animal Dances in the WILD

Join us for a week of moving, making and exploring in Moscow’s adventure-playland. Strengthen your body and your senses and learn amazing ways animals use theirs: what if you could taste with your feet like a butterfly? What if you could see like a deer?

We’ll play rhythm games with sound-makers we construct, build a den together and map our independent “territories.” We’ll learn wild and beautiful dances from hawks, coyotes, dragonflies and other native animals – and invent dances of our own! We’re learning about animal and human alignment, bio-mechanics and behavior. We engage with bones, skins, hands-on models and wearable objects.

You’ll be guided by Corrie Befort, internationally performing dancer/choreographer, inclusivity-focused teacher, intermedia artist, wilderness backpacker and local mom.
